The Ricoh MP C2003 color multifunction printer (MFP) is designed for low-to-mid volume printing, copying and scanning (an optional fax unit is also available). It has OEM-rated print speeds of 20 letter-size pages per minute (ppm) for both color and black-and-white printing and a monthly duty cycle rating of 40,000 pages. The MP C2503 model has the same duty cycle rating, but with increased print speeds of 25 ppm for both color and black-and-white printing.
The supplies set is made up of four tube-style toner cartridges, a waste toner bottle and four separate drum units. Replacement toner cartridges are available in yields of 9,500 pages (color) and 15,000 pages (black). The waste toner bottle holds approximately 100,000 pages worth of waste before replacement is needed. Drum units yield 48,000 pages (color) and 60,000 pages (black). These drum units are not listed by Ricoh as “consumables” items and are not available on their websites, but are available from third party sellers.
Toner cartridges require chips for correct printer operation.
